Residents on the Fagley estate are being encouraged to help keep their neighbourhoods tidy and get rid of unwanted bulky items as part of a big local clean up this weekend.
BCHT’s North Bradford area office and the Council’s Environmental Task Force have teamed up to tidy up open spaces and remove rubbish on Saturday (24 March). It is part of the Council’s ‘Clean Sweep’ drive to tidy up local areas in the district.
Residents are asked to place bulky refuse such as old mattresses, furniture and bags of rubbish in a tidy pile by the pavement outside their home by 9am on Saturday. However the Council teams will not be able to remove trade waste.
A letter has been sent out to residents to encourage everyone to keep their gardens tidy along with leaflets about the clean-up and details of local refuse sites for the future disposal of unwanted bulky items.
Anna Fryer, BCHT Acting Director for the North Bradford area, said: “As a caring and responsible landlord we are committed to working with residents to help keep our neighbourhoods and estates attractive and tidy.
“By working together with the Council and community we can all make a difference and make North Bradford a cleaner and greener place to live.”
