More than 100 residents joined special guests at BCHT’s Home and Garden Show (10 Sept) to celebrate the wonderful creative talents of local tenants.

TV interior designer and proud Bradfordian Linda Barker and Radio Leeds gardening expert Joe Maiden had the difficult task of choosing the 2007 winners from a short list of top gardens and home makeovers. Over 100 proud BCHT tenants submitted entries.

The four garden winners chosen were:-

• Sally Baldwin of Lower Grange in Allerton
• Florence Howells of Damon Avenue, Ravenscliffe      
• Wendy Haines of Ayresome Oval, Allerton
• Barry O’Connell of Craven Court, Four Lane Ends

The two home make over winners were:-

• Sheila Churchyard of Hunt Yard, Great Horton
•  Irma Hrund of Buchan Towers, Radwell Drive

Each winner received an engraved trophy and a gardening encyclopaedia. There was also a host of top raffle prizes handed out to tenants attending the event at the Midland Hotel,Bradford.

The audience also enjoyed a flower arranging masterclass from top West Yorkshire florist Jonathan Moseley, a gardening talk by Joe Maiden and top design tips from Linda Barker.
