A Keighley housing worker has jumped 15,000 feet to boost a local charity.
Sally Worsnop, who works for Aire-Wharfe Community Housing Trust, says she was nervous but determined as she prepared for her tandem sky-dive.
Her partner, Dave also joined Sally in her big leap – both jumping with fully qualified parachutists - and together they raised nearly £1,500 for Cancer Research UK.
Sally made the jump on Saturday (18 November) over a North Lincolnshire airfield.
Sally Worsnop said: “It was windy when I made the sky-dive but it was great that Dave was with me. I don’t know who was more nervous but we did it!
“I’m still in one piece, but I think my stomach is still in the plane!
“A big thank you to everyone who has kindly sponsored me and Dave.”
Over the last two months, Sally and her colleagues Tracy Tough and Toby Heslop from Aire-Wharfe Community Housing Trust have organised a host of events including a coffee morning and a slimming club to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The fundraising is inspired by their boss, Carol Bridges, who is recovering from breast cancer treatment.
There is still chance to make your donation. To do this pop into Aire-Wharfe Community Housing Trust’s reception at 6-14 Devonshire Street or ring Sally Worsnop on 0845 166 0100.
