What we do

Together with other agencies such as the police and the Council, we hold a number of walkabouts and focus groups at least once a year in your community.

So what is a “walkabout”?

Well exactly what it says! We will be out and about walking around your area, so that residents can come and talk to us and tell us what you want us to look into.

This can be simple things such as areas of land or open space that need clearing, anti social behaviour or crime levels or things that you would like to and want to see more of.

So what is a “focus group”?

It is a small group of individuals who will be invited to get together for about an hour and discuss what they feel is important in their neighbourhood. You will be able to give us your views on how we can improve your community.

Ideas can be ‘little or large’ from additional bins to funding for a new play area. All your ideas will be welcomed and will help us to form an Action Plan for services we need to improve or introduce in your neighbourhood.

We hope you can join us on our walkabouts and at our focus groups to give us your views on how we can make improvements to the community in which you live.
