Scores of tenants will put on their dancing shoes for a big Christmas tea dance at BCHT’s West City area office on Cheapside on Thursday (13 Dec).

The event will take place in the historic ballroom of City House and will include a line dancing show, an old-time singalong, bingo and competitions. Housing staff will join in the fun serving tea and cakes to everyone at the dance.

Invitations were sent out to sheltered housing schemes and residents groups across the West City area. The Trust is also organising transport for tenants to and from the dance which starts at 3pm.

Steve Short, BCHT’s Director for the Bradford West City area said: “Staff are really looking forward to hosting the tea dance. This is the third year running we have organised the event to spread some special festive cheer to our customers.

“I’m sure our tenants will be showing those ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ TV contestants a thing or two about performing a stylish waltz around the dance floor!”
