BCHT and CHAS Housing Aid have teamed up to hold six drop-in Money Wise events.
Specialist CHAS advice workers will be able to discuss with tenants on a one to one basis how to make the most of their money and, if needed, they can give advice on dealing with a debt problem.
BCHT staff will also be on hand to give information on low cost home contents insurance and the alternative ways of paying rent. They will also provide information on the Trust’s loyalty card scheme which offers savings at selected shops and attractions.
The following free events have been arranged:-
Dave Dickens, a Director of BCHT said: “As a caring and responsible housing landlord we are offering all our tenants free independent and confidential advice about any money matters they may have.
“The CHAS advisers have many years experience in dealing with personal money matters and customers can pop along between 10am to 4pm to their local area trust event.”
CHAS staff also hold weekly one-to-one sessions at each of BCHT’s six area trust offices. To make an appointment to see an adviser please contact your local housing trust. Alternatively, tenants can contact CHAS on 01274 726790.
