Housing tenants and shoppers can find out more about local services with the launch of a second city centre internet café, backed by Bradford Community Housing Trust.
The indulge café on Manor Row, which includes four computer internet stations, was officially opened on 27 April by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Coun Choudhary Rangzeb.
Each computer is linked to BCHT’s intouch services information to encourage local tenants to get more involved in the housing trusts work and encourage customer feedback. Visitors to the cafe will also be able to surf the worldwide web.
The opening follows the success of the intouch café on Cheapside (opened in 2005) which is a popular place to take a break and browse the internet.
Both intouch and indulge cafes are run by local entrepreneur Naveed Hussain-Aslam, and promise customers a mouth-watering choice of snacks, light meals and spicy treats.
Naveed is excited about the opening of the café. He said: “It’s great to be working with a major organisation like Bradford Community Housing Trust and launching a second smart new café in the city centre.
“Every customer spending £1 or more will get 30 minutes free internet access in the café and we have an extensive menu of freshly cooked food on offer. So go on, why not indulge yourself?”
Ian Simpson, BCHT’s Assistant Chief Executive (Business Services and Development) said: “The new indulge café provides our customers with the chance to find out more about our intouch services by going online in the comfort of an attractive city centre café. It aims to complement the nearby intouch café and offer BCHT customers another way of working with us and providing valuable feedback on our services.
“Naveed has put a lot of work into launching the café and we are delighted the Lord Mayor will be joining us for the opening.”
