trust wins regional award

Bradford Community Housing Trust has scooped a prestigious regional award for its 2004/5 Annual Report.
Last night (22 June), the Trust’s Marketing and Communications team joined scores of major business and public sector organisations at the eighth PricewaterhouseCoopers Yorkshire Annual Report Awards event at The Queen’s Hotel, Leeds.
The awards aimed to celebrate the best in corporate reporting and communications.
BCHT were chosen winners from a short-list of three for the Public Sector annual report award category, which also included the University of Leeds and Yorkshire Forward.
The judging panel, drawn from across the finance, corporate and design sectors praised the Trust’s annual report for its clear presentation and the ‘excellent use of pictures and graphics to put across the results and aims of the organisation’.
The award was presented to BCHT’s Executive Director, Ian Simpson.
He said: “Winning this prestigious award is a terrific achievement for our Marketing and Communications team and the Trust as a whole and just three years since the business started.
“The judges said they were particularly impressed by the outline of our vision, objectives, and the clear understanding of how we were performing to meet our customers needs.”
The annual report was produced and designed in-house by BCHT’s four-strong Marketing and Communications team, headed by Wendy Pickard. It was printed by
Claremon Ltd of Bradford.
